Tony achieved an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy through Middlesex University. He also has a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He is a widely experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist and is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). He has worked in Pieta House encompassing a range of symptoms such as Depression, Anxiety and Relationship difficulties. Tony also works in Accord with individuals and couples experiencing difficulties with their relationships.
Tony provides a confidential, non-judgemental, safe and warm environment in which clients can discuss their issues. As a humanistic and client centred therapist, Tony gives clients the space to explore and collaborate in their own treatment. Through the raising of awareness of thoughts, behaviour and feelings Tony explores how these may be connected and playing a role in current life difficulties. He provides short-term specific and focused sessions or longer term in-depth analysis. He also offers clients tools and resources to better manage, issues of anxiety, stress or depression, to build and create a new way forward.
