Helen has been involved in the provision of specialist psychotherapy and counselling for over a decade. During this time she has worked with a wide range of individuals, couples and groups on a diverse series of issues including Anxiety, Anger Management, Relationships, Bereavement, Depression, Panic Attacks, Self Esteem, Sexual/Physical abuse Stress and Suicide and Trauma.

Helen has a particular interest in relationships – both in how we relate to ourselves and how we relate to each other.

Helen works in a person centred and humanistic way incorporating psychodynamic and integrative therapies. She offers a safe, warm and respectful environment in which clients are supported and gently challenged to empower themselves to take responsibility for their own lives as they seek to understand and accept themselves, gain insight to healing their traumas and engage in overcoming their difficulties.

The process of psychotherapy provides a personal space to identify, learn to manage and ultimately overcome emotional and mental difficulties while developing and empowering a new self awareness and understanding.

Helen has worked with a number of agencies including Accord, Relationships Ireland, on the Board of Northside counselling Services and a number of employee assistant programmes.

EAP Consultancy

Helen’s particular interest lies in the area of Critical Incident stress management and related interventions including defusing, debriefing and peer support interventions and has specific training in both CISM and Psychological First Aid (PFI). Helen also has a keen interest in the area of stress management and has completed a dissertation on bereavement and attachment and have been instrumental in establishment and facilitation of bereavement support groups located around Dublin.
