Gerry is a relationship counsellor who has gained a wide range of experience in over twenty five years working with couples and individuals in distress.

Gerry helps couples and individuals communicate how they feel, and address difficult issues, while at the same time managing overwhelming emotions, such as anger, frustration, or a sense of hopelessness and resentment.

Gerry helps to create a safe space and climate where you can talk about your experience and feel heard.

Gerry also has experience in working with separated parents and regularly delivered the parenting when separated programme (managing parenting when in conflict).

He was an active member of “Teen Between” a counselling service which provided counselling to the teenage children of couples who were going through the process of separating.

Gerry was for many years a tutor/trainer with Relationship Ireland and Accord.

“For some, counselling is the last straw and it’s not an easy choice to make to invite someone into the private world of your relationship “

Weather you come as a couple or individual it requires courage and needs to be met with compassion and sensitivity.

Gerry helps couples to talk to, and hear each other in a climate that can enable them to experience the relief, of addressing difficult issues while at the same time managing overwhelming emotions.

Gerry works from the person centred model and incorporates the Psychodynamic and Cognitive approaches in his practice with relationships.
