Alison is a Dublin born and based Counsellor and Psychotherapist who is fully qualified and accredited with the National Association of Pastoral Counsellors and Psychotherapists (NAPCP). Her qualifications include an Honours degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Psychotherapy and a first class Honours Higher Diploma specialising in Relationship Counselling.
Alison’s approach integrates elements from many different schools of psychotherapy and her therapeutic frameworks include Person Centred, Psychodynamics, Gestalt, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotionally Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness. She works with both Individuals and Couples and believes that it is within the Therapeutic Relationship itself that lasting positive change and healing happens.
Alison believes that the quality of our life is determined by the quality of our relationships and works extensively within relationship and family dynamics to help clients to discover the vital tools and resources to aid in capturing lasting vitality in their relationships. When working with Couples, Alison excels in conflict resolution, issues with communication, sexual and intimacy problems and challenges with co- parenting.
